Q: We have heard people refer to you as ‘Killed’ and ‘Lox’? Please set everyone straight, which is it and where did it come from?

A: “Killed” is the name of my Stencil Art “LOX” is My name… i go by both, call me whatever you want

Q: Tell us about the selection of your imagery?

A: I Mix Girls with Weapons and a skull face to try and show a powerful woman that no one would want to mess with, the Skull Face is a killed signature of sorts for the streets.

Q: What are you telling to tell society through your art and placement?

A: If Im Telling Anyone Anything, its that you can be confident in your Art and put it, Well… Wherever you damn well please … Up high, down low, in your Face or in a art show, you can get your art Anywhere you want it.

Q: Why street art?

A: Street Art was something i just Fell into, i never thought “ok im going to be a Street Artist” i just loved my art and wanted to put it where people would see it, i got sick of asking my friends “hey you think this is cool lookin?” and i went strait out to the streets and put it out there.

Q: What’s the hardest part about being a street artist?

A: The Truth is Being a Street Artist isn’t really that hard if you love it, Getting on the bus or on your bike and riding to the spot is Hard, climbing up on the roof is Hard and pasting a huge poster will make you sweat your ass off and your arms hurt, but that second your done and you get down and you look up at your work up there, it just doesn’t seem that hard anymore

Q: We understand you completely live an artist lifestyle and have completely devoted your self to your craft. How does this help you and how does it make life hard?

A: Well it helps because Killed is all i think about and i can focus on it and always keep moving forward, Its my job that Has no payday but its more important than money, but money makes it Hard when Art Makes no money and Costs money to make, but its not about money now is it- its about people seeing your art so you gotta do what you gotta do – not everything is a business decision. Sometimes its just Life and Life is about what you Want, i want my art out there, ill starve for it …

Q: Hate, Death, Fear, Sex, Money, Fame – put them in order of importance. Tell us your thought process on this.

A:

DEATH: a new beginning

FEAR: it controls you

SEX: Feels great

HATE: Somewhat Necessary

MONEY: Not at all Necessary

Fame: Leads to Death

Q: What do people need to know about you?

A: wanna buy me a beer?

Q: Favorite mode of transportation and why?

A: Favorite right now even though its sometimes horrible and Tiring is.. Walking, Walking is the best way to look at and put up street art… in the Car things go unseen its too fast then you gotta Park and its L.A. so… Bikes are Fun, but scary sometimes in traffic, and oh i hate the bus….

Q: What are your thoughts on Tom Cruise (we ask everyone)?

A: i think tom Cruise is well… a Actor .. probably not to fun to hang with in person, and probably doesn’t have any idea what he wants in life anymore, probably is addicted to Coke.

Q: Tell us your thoughts on street art in galleries or galleries in general.

A: Galleries are Great and Its a Fun time to go out to a Street Art Show and meet up with all the Fellow Artists, I Focus on the Streets because they always are number one, Having a Show is A blast and a hassle at the Same time, you just have to make the best of it, just remember the streets got you in the gallery in the first place.. never give up on the streets…

Q: One artist you wish you could work with and why?

A: I Still have a List of Artists im Meaning to Meet here in LA and Work with, but i Want to Do some Work with Stencil artist Mittenwald “MIW” From Germany…And i Want to Paste with Urbanhearts With Street Art Without Borders in Paris.. one day.

Q: Favorite masturbatory fantasy:

A: I want to have sex with a Zombie…. But Wait ! ide be a zombie too so it would be OK …. Right? haha

Q: Favorite book and movie. Why?

A: I Read about Serial Killers, I Watch movies about Serial killers. Texas Chainsaw!! Maybe im a psycho?… oh and i love cheech and Chong.

Q: What compels you to be an artist?

A: Im human and i have ideas and i have Feelings and shit Coming out of me all the time, i Have to put it somewhere or i will go crazy, sometimes i play bass when im not doing Art to let out some Creativity, but Really what really compels me is Doing things without asking – i get off on it

Q: Do you have a process/ritual before hitting the streets with art? If so, please share.

A: Beer, and usually some Music and Some Friends, the rest just comes with it, sometimes making posters or showing off what you got made with other people before a mission is the kicker that really gets you thinking “where am i gonna put these?”

Q: What motivates you?

A: Beer, And Usually some Music and some friends, haha! Just the fact that people know what the killed logo looks like motivates me, or maybe someone really diggs the poster i just gave em, that stuff is important to me and makes me never want to stop…

Q: Someone repeatedly beats you in the balls with a hammer or you can’t make art for 5 years – pick one.

A: I have been Kicked in the balls alot of times in my day .. but a hammer ? Ill always make Art, YOU CANT STOP ME! My Balls can handle it. Bring it on! Hammertime!

Q: What’s next for you?

A: Next well… What i do next is what ive been doing all this year, have fun spreading Killed all over L.A. and Party my ass off to celebrate. I have a Halloween show coming up and Im also Really Digging the Live Painting ive been Doing so ill be doing that more often in the future….

Q: Your thoughts on the LA street art scene:

A: Its the LA Street Art Scene so imagine Rich people buying poor artists art in some Rich guys place… and Music and Booze Makes No one give a shit cuz hey, .. lets just have a good time – its ART .. yeah LA has alot of shit wrong with it – and we could go on forever about it ” its who you know” blah blah blah – ITS L.A. Lets Have some fun …. dont worry so much about what it looks like or how much it costs its about how it FEELS… and if it feels good Kill IT! thats True LA Street art ..
